At David R. Kern Asset Management, our primary business is asset management using diversified strategies to reduce market risk consistent with each investor’s investment objectives and risk tolerance.

Our independence allows us to help investors choose the best investment format to implement their individualized action plan.

We offer specific strategies to monitor investment programs on a daily basis and reduce the negative effects of downside volatility.

David R. Kern is President and owner of Advantage Financial Planning, Inc., DBA David R. Kern Asset Management, and has been a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) since 1989.

He has worked as a financial and investment advisor since 1975. His credentials include the designations of Chartered Financial Consultant, Chartered Life Underwriter, and Certified Fund Specialist. As a Financial Advisor with Questar Capital Corporation, he is well known locally as an active wealth manager for high net worth individuals and companies.

Presently, he is a member of the National Association of Active Investment Managers, the Society of Financial Service Professionals, and a charter member of the Fort Wayne Network Business Group.

Brian D. Kern is a technical and scientific consultant to David R. Kern Asset Management. Brian earned a Ph.D. in astronomy and astrophysics from Caltech in 2002, and is applying the statistical and analytic tools used by the scientific community to the asset management practiced here.

Leesa Kern

Office Manager

Leesa Kern has been with David R. Kern Asset Management for over eight years acting as office manager. Before joining DRKAM, Leesa owned her own business and managed a staff of 11 people. Her background includes motivational speaking, training, and marketing for other independent business owners. Leesa has been married to David Kern for over eleven years and enjoys gardening, photography, creating scrapbooks, and spending time with family.

Sherry Fulbright

Sherry Fulbright performs special projects duties for the David R. Kern Asset Management programs. Sherry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Housing & Engineering Graphics from Purdue University and has taught classes for over nine years on a part-time basis at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne. She has been a pastor's spouse for over 25 years and is currently also on staff at a local Fort Wayne United Methodist Church.
